Laboratory tweezers and forceps are small tools that are suitable for a wide 
variety of laboratory and other work areas to hold and handle small or delicate 
objects.
Laboratory tweezers and forceps are usually made of disposable plastics such 
as polystyrene or autoclavable and reusable plastics such as PMP 
(polymethylpentene), PTFE, reinforced nylon or polypropylene. Plastic 
designs are often sterile and used individually for use in clean rooms and 
other controlled laboratory areas. Alternatively, tweezers and forceps made 
of stainless steel, titanium or other metals are widely available, which offer
 higher corrosion and chemical resistance as well as a longer shelf life.
